As a kid I built Lego by stacking one piece on top of whatever already existed, no instructions, until years later I had something massive that surprised even me. That's still how I work.
I'm usually in the middle of something: a side project, an automation nobody asked for, a prototype that exists because I wanted to know if it was possible. Design and engineering ended up together because they're both just building. One shapes how something feels, the other makes it work.
I bring an entrepreneur and builder mindset to everything. Not just building the thing, but making sure it solves a real problem for real people.
Design is how I confirm the build matters. If it doesn't feel good to use, it won't get used.
The making and the designing happen at the same time, not in sequence. Prototyping is how I find out if the design is right.
I build the check layer, not just the generation layer. Knowing where AI gets things wrong matters as much as knowing how to use it.
The goal is systems that keep working after you stop looking at them.
The best part is watching someone solve their problem with something you built.
What I'm Building Toward
I want to build things that matter to the people using them. The entrepreneur side finds the real problem. The builder side makes the tool that solves it. I'm looking for work where those two things are the same job.
Outside Work
I'm always looking for the best version of a dish. Restaurants, cooking at home, a cuisine I haven't tried yet. I want to know what it tastes like done right, then figure out how to make it myself.
